Questions, bug reports, or feedback about VR Player? Email us:
Does VR Player need an account? Ordinary playback and Google Play purchases do not. Optional rewarded unlocks require Google sign-in so the daily allowance works across devices and reinstalls.
What is included for free? Ordinary 2D playback is unlimited. Headset VR previews cover the first 3 minutes and interactive phone previews the first 5 minutes of a video. Moving from VR at 3:00 to interactive phone viewing leaves two minutes, up to 5:00.
How do rewarded unlocks work? Complete an optional ad to unlock that video in both modes for this viewing session, with one hour to reopen it. There are two unlocks per Google account per day, resetting at 00:00 UTC. An ad started before midnight uses that day's reserved allowance even if verification finishes later. Failed/declined ads return their slot; completed ads keep theirs while verification is pending. If verification is delayed, continue in ordinary 2D and check the video again. Reopening after the reward expires needs another available unlock or Premium.
Which Premium plan should I choose? Monthly Premium renews automatically until canceled; lifetime Premium is a one-time purchase. Both remove app ads and unlock all playback modes. Current localized prices appear in the app. Existing lifetime purchases remain valid.
How do I restore or cancel? Open Premium and choose Restore purchases or Manage / cancel subscription. Use the Google Play account that purchased Premium. Cancellation generally retains access until the paid period ends unless Google Play ends it sooner. Subscription verification requires an internet connection after a reboot and at least every 24 hours; the cached entitlement never exceeds its verified expiry.
How do I delete my rewards account? Open Premium → Rewards account → Delete rewards account, or use the deletion request page. Deleting an account does not cancel a Google Play subscription.
Can it play protected (DRM) streams? No. DRM bypass and protected-stream extraction are not supported. VR Player is intended for media you own or are authorized to access.
How do I fix a Jellyfin connection? Confirm that the server address
is reachable from your phone and includes the correct http:// or
https:// scheme and port. HTTPS is recommended. Signing out removes the
saved connection and access token from VR Player; the Jellyfin server operator
controls server-side account data and logs.
How do watch parties work? Put both devices on the same private Wi-Fi network. The host chooses More tools → Watch together and shares the displayed six-digit code. Every device plays its own copy of the media; only encrypted playback state and the title are exchanged, with no relay server.
How do I send or delete a crash report? Open Settings → Manage → Crash reports. You can inspect, copy, send, or delete the locally stored report. VR Player never uploads it automatically.
